Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Ok, I have seen a few quesitons on threads with the PS3 not sharing with vista. Is it because that the PS3 does not have an option to log into the homegroup yet?

Just as an update to this situation, I wanted to inform people that if their unknown device ie. PS3 is removed from the media streaming list of devices that you can get it back by changing the name of the library share name, then restart your computer and wait about 5 min.

Took me about three months to find a website with this info I believe it was a boxee support website that had it buried deep in the suggestions. Sunday, November 13, AM. I know this is a very old post but I am experiencing a similar problem. I have all the devices shown on my laptop and I am able to use DLNA media sharing with my PS3 from that but I am now trying to set up a desktop to do the same. I have media streaming on and when I go to the options, under All networks, only the top option "Media programs on this PC and remote connections I have no idea why no other devices show up I live in an apartment complex and on my laptop tons of unknown devices and other PCs showed up so I had to find the MAC address of my PS3, but it worked.

Could you clarify what you mean by "changing the name of the library share name"? I changed the name of my media library, which is at the top of media streaming options, and then restarted my desktop but the other devices are still not showing up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thursday, December 19, AM. Try adddevice It help by me.. If it start installing just cancel because it wont install. But somehow it starts refreshing the list. Wednesday, June 25, PM. Go into setting and search for "Devices and Printers". You'll see the XboxOne under the "Multimedia devices" heading. Right click and remove the XboxOne. Then click on "Add a Device" under the ribbon on top. You'll see your XboxOne listed there assuming its on. Once its added, you'll be able to see it again in the Media Streaming Options window. Can you help us improve? Resolved my issue.

Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped. Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information. Not enough pictures. Any additional feedback?
